Just back home after 6 days of treatment for a pulmonary embolism ( PE ).Words can not express my graditude for saving my life. The staff at the CCU unit and at ward 8 , could not have done anymore and at all times did that extra mile for me. A great credit to the mediical staff. WHAT A TEAM.
A & E nurse was not in any mood to help me. She said I should have accessed a different sector of care even though NHS 24 directed me to A&E. She slated NHS 24 to us and seemed utterly uninterested in her job. She provided an appalling service. Discussed my case with me infront of the entire waiting room. Then asked if I would still like to be seen by a doctor. As I was in pain I said yes to which she stormed away huffing. I decided to leave feeling like I have inconvienced them and embarrassed. Never again! Dont go unless ur hanging into ur life. Even at that dont expect much hope.
Just returned from visiting a very poorly relative in Wishaw General and feel so reassured that she is receiving the very best possible care by such friendly and dedicated staff. The hospital is spotless, bright and cheerful. The level of care is exceptional, well done to all the staff on Ward 9. It was also refreshing that car park was free of charge, such a difference from my local hospital in Coventry where parking charges are 10.00 per day.
Staff were wonderful from the minute I was admitted until the day I left.So friendly and took time to help me with any problems or questions I had.Hygiene was top notch. Food lovely. Plenty parking. Regular bus.
Attended Wishaw General today and could not have received a better welcome. The doctor and nurses are outstanding. They are courteous, polite and spent time explaining things to me. Well done.
