From misinformation I was told to go to the Wishaw walk in clinic at 4pm. What I dont know was that it was restricted to under 20s and Im older. The lady I spoke made me feel like a child. Ive never been to these walk in clinics before so I dont know about restrictions. Instead of explaining it to me and giving me alternatives she said her college who misinformed me would never do such a thing. The way she said it made me leave promptly and I was in tears soon after. I do feel silly for getting so upset but I never expected for a nurse or worker to speak to me on such a manner. I appreciate the pressure nhs staff go through but I was absolutely humiliated and this was not a way someone should be treated.
Would LOVE a chat with the eejit(s) who designed this place. Not working, in so many ways. Too many to list.As for the car park - really? Much too small. Plus, across an often busy road, with no direct access... it would have been simple to incorporate a bridge and/or underpass. Moreover, parking restrictions are invariably ignored. Often see cars in easy access/disabled parking areas, without blue badges
The car park to the rear is for staff only, there is a large public car park across the road and disabled spaces to the side of the building with ramp access. Lifts can occasionally be out of order but if unable to manage the stairs there are staff lifts where wheelchairs or buggys can go once they have asked a member of staff to take them up. Big building with lots of services under one roof. I have always found staff pleasant. Only criticism is that the ground floor waiting room can be really cold because of the front doors opening and closing constantly, not good for the baby clinic, and cafe sells the same two soups every day.
